HR Calcy builds free calculators and guides for HR professionals, employers and employees in India. This page explains how those tools work, how current they are, and what to check before acting on a result.
How our calculators work
Every calculator on HR Calcy applies the rules, rates, slabs and formulas that are in force under Indian law at the time it is built or updated. Nothing is estimated or approximated — the maths follows the published provisions.
What a calculator cannot know is your full situation. Results depend entirely on the figures you enter, and a real salary structure, exemption or settlement can involve terms specific to your employer, your state, or your individual contract. Two people entering the same salary may correctly see different outcomes in practice.
Rules change, and so do results
Tax slabs, PF and ESI thresholds, professional tax rates, pay commission figures and labour law provisions are revised regularly — sometimes mid-year, sometimes with retrospective effect. We update our tools when changes are notified, but there can be a gap between a notification and the update.
Before you act on a number that matters, check it against the latest provisions from the relevant authority — the Income Tax Department, EPFO, ESIC, your state labour department, or the notification that applies to your case.
Not professional advice
HR Calcy is an information and calculation resource. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice, and using it does not create a professional relationship between you and HR Calcy or Nauvi Solutions.
For decisions with real consequences — structuring salaries, filing returns, settling dues, or responding to a compliance notice — consult a qualified professional who can look at your actual circumstances.
Responsibility for decisions
We take care to get our tools and content right, and we correct errors promptly when they are reported. Even so, HR Calcy and Nauvi Solutions cannot accept responsibility for any loss, liability or consequence arising from decisions made on the basis of a calculation, article or download on this website. The decision, and the verification behind it, remain yours.
If you believe a calculator or an article is wrong, please tell us — we would rather fix it than have anyone rely on it.
Courses, eBooks and certificates
HR Calcy's paid courses, eBooks and Excel templates are sold through learn.hrcalcy.in, which carries its own terms covering purchases, delivery and refunds.
Certificates issued on completion of an HR Calcy quiz or course record what you completed with us. They are not a licence, a statutory qualification, or a credential awarded by any government body or professional institute.
Links to other websites
Where we link to government portals, notifications or third-party resources, we do so because they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or availability.
Content and copyright
